Book It!

I remember growing up always loving to read books. And enjoying the awesome reward of free pizza at Pizza Hut with the illustrious Book It Pin filled with the orange stars attached to my jean jacket. I've always loved to read but that took a vacation when I hit college. I dreaded reading since all that was in front of me was mind-numbing, uninviting Business and Marketing Textbooks. I stopped reading for a few years and I forgot how much I missed it! It wasn't until Feb this year that I decided to get back on the Book It train and indulge in some wonderful books. I set a goal on Feb. 6,2008 to read 25 books by the end of the year. I've surpassed that with a month and a half to go and I'm loving every minute of it. Sure my reading took a little time off when I became newly obsessed with crafting again but I spend my lunch breaks with either my head in a book or a hook and yarn in my hand.

Here's what I've read thus far:

1. Bright Lights, Big Ass: A Self-Indulgent, Surly, Ex-Sorority Girl's Guide to Why it Often Sucks in the City, or Who are These Idiots and Why Do They All Live Next Door to Me? Jen Lancaster
