Fill in the Blank Friday!
1. The most selfless thing I've ever done was ... Well, As bad as this sounds, I don't know that anything is jumping out at me. I try to do nice things for people and be very helpful and considerate of others. I'm usually pretty good about it I think.
2. When it comes to working out I ride the roller coaster. I hop on the bandwagon and get super into it and then the motivation slowly slips away. I need to be better but being lazy is so much easier!
3. A woman should always hope to be the best version of herself and not let anyone or anything make her think she can't be whatever she wants to be.
4. I wish I could magically know how to cook amazing, and healthy! meals from scratch.
5. A best friend is someone who you can talk to anytime, anywhere. Even if you haven't talked in a while but can pick up the phone and be in conversation like you spoke every day.
6. I can't get enough OREOS AND MILK these days. Seriously... we have polished off a bag this week!
7. This weekend I am doing lots of random things. Hanging curtains, cleaning, knitting, football, etc. Not incredibly exciting but it must be done.

Fill in the Blank Friday!
It has been WAY! too long since I participated in a FITBF. And since I have had such a lack of posts this week (sickness and laziness are an awesome combo) I thought I would go ahead and throw this one in for good measure. And also because I laughed when I thought about my answer for #2 and that sealed it for me.
1. One of life's most simple pleasures is a sincere and kind smile.
2. Chewing with your mouth open or smacking your gum or food so loudly that ANYONE within a 2 mile radius can hear makes me want to punch someone. (In particular, the person doing said smacking)
3. I like to knit because, it is calming. And because I can- it's not just for grannys!
4. Purple is a funny word.
(But only when said in a French Accent with your BFF!)
5. If I had to choose one beauty product to use for the rest of eternity it would be Oil of Olay moisturizing lotion. Dry skin sucks!
6. I'm happy that I was given and able to accept the awesome summer opportunity here in the UK. It has been awesome.
7. I would never choose Diet Coke over Diet Pepsi. But I would choose Coke over Pepsi in a heartbeat!
Yeah, that last one was kind of random. Sorry bout that.

Fill in the Blank Friday!
Haven't done one of these in a while and since it's my last Friday here in Oxford for the first rotation, I thought I'd go ahead and link up!
6. One should always try to remain positive. It really makes life so much better to live.
1. The best news I ever received was "Hey, I think there is something in that box for you..." Spoken by my husband 10 minutes after walking into our new house, 5 minutes before he propsed. All was right in the world .
2. Something I'm looking forward to is coming home next week! I have so much enjoyed my stay in Oxford so far and while it will make work a little more difficult for a few weeks, I can't wait to get home and wrap my arms around my husband and meow at Chloe in person, hoping she doesn't try to kill me for leaving her.
3. Something I would never do is own a snake... or a spider... eeew. Not to mention the husband would divorce me if I tried to bring a slithering reptile into the house.
4. If I could choose someone to be my life coach (famous or not, living or dead), I'd choose Lindsay Lohan, she seems to have all her ish together... JOKING! Probably Ms. O, The one and only Oprah. She is amazing .
5. If I had to put a label on my style it would be classic, somewhat preppy. I try to wear some of the trendy things but they are just wrong on me. I prefer polos and bermuda shorts, plaid, and flats .
6. One should always try to remain positive. It really makes life so much better to live.
7. I want to eat a skyline cheese coney and 4 way so bad I can't stand it... and Chick-Fil-A... OMG The waffle fries!!!!!

Fill in the Blank
Wow, so apparently Blogger Droid App has been on the fritz and not posted anything in the last 2 weeks! I'll need to fix that soon!
Time for a little Fill in the Blank Friday. Hopefully I can answer all of the questions!
2. Friends don't let friends eat the entire pint by themselves. They grab a spoon and dig in with them!
6. The cure for boredom is a new ball of yarn and a new pattern... or for the non-knitterly folk, a phone call to a good friend.
Time for a little Fill in the Blank Friday. Hopefully I can answer all of the questions!
1. People always tell me I look like me. There have been random occasions where I'm told I look like someone but I never know who it is. When I was younger my Grandma used to tell me I looked like Brooke Shields... But I think the only similarilty was the eyebrows!
2. Friends don't let friends eat the entire pint by themselves. They grab a spoon and dig in with them!
3. A sunny day is perfect for a run at the happy place, followed by lounging on the patio with family and friends with a cold beverage and music playing.
4. My favorite accessory is jewelry: Wedding/Engagement Ring, Diamond Studs, Diamon circle necklace (all from the hubs) and my sterling heart locket necklace. Non- jewelry related, I can't get enough of small shawls and light scarves!
5. If I could afford it I would hire a personal chef to cook for me every day.
6. The cure for boredom is a new ball of yarn and a new pattern... or for the non-knitterly folk, a phone call to a good friend.
7. I am currently "in like" with fresh fruit. There was a ginormous bowl of it at the twin's birthday party and I was lucky enough to bring a bunch home. So fresh and sweet and tart and delicious! .

Fill in the blank

1. My most prized possession is more sentimental than anything. Of course, the obvious choice would be my engagement/wedding rings but I'm going a different route. My Mama gifted me a hope chest that was hers when she was a little girl. It skipped my mom and has been handed down to me. Inside of it is a note that my Mama wrote back in the 80's about the chest and that it would someday be mine .
2. If I could be one age for the rest of my life, I would want to be 26. A grownup but still in "mid-20's", you have all the perks of being a grownup (hello cheap car insurance and rental cars!) but also can still be seen somewhat as a kid. I've since passed that age, but not by much! .
3. The best way to spend a weekend is friday night with friends, saturday time at the shop, date night with the husband, wrapped up with errands and a nice dinner in on Sunday! .
4. My outlook on life is if you always wait for good things to happen to you, you'll be waiting for a long time. Take your life in your hands and make the things you dream about, happen. .
5. If you want to annoy me, just chew your gum with your mouth open. The smacking.... makes me want to smack you. And if I know you, I just might. (Please note my mom is probably laughing so hard she is crying right now. She knows this is true and finds it hilarious) .
6. I am completely defenseless when it comes to chips. Tortillas with salsa, plain, with dip, doritos, salt and vinegar, kettle, barbeque, oh Lord I love them all. The crunch, the salt, they are making my mouth water just thinking about them. Hello, my name is Alisha. And I'm a chipoholic... .
7. When dressing for the day one should put one foot in at a time. And wear what makes you feel fabulous :) .

Fill in the Blank
1. The best deal I've ever gotten is um...our knife set? We had registered for a set from BBB but for some reason they were randomly discontinued at the store we were at so they gave us the newest set for the discounted price plus our registry discount and gift cards. They were pretty much free!
2. If I were hosting a dinner party and could invite people from my fantasy guest list it would include excluding all family and friends it would be Ysolda Teague, Ree Drummond, The characters from Big Band Theory, Kathryn Heigl, Daniel Ratcliffe, Nathan Lane, oh goodness, that is quite a random list.
3. Something that inspires me is infectiously motivated people. You know the kind. The kind that can discuss their passions to the point of motivating and inspiring you to want to run out and do something!
4. If I could only choose to eat one flavor of food for the rest of eternity (sweet, salty, spicy, bitter....) I would have to go with this would be one of the most awful choices to ever make! I'd probably go with spicy.
5. I dream about random things. Who knows what they all mean. Typically lots of action, or parties, and a good mix of celebrities as well as people I know interacting together Some nightmares but rarely.
6. My weekend will be spent relaxing tonight, maybe a mani/pedi? Then girl's night tomorrow for dinner and The Adjustment Bureau .
7. If I could only watch one movie or TV show for the rest of my life, it would be Grey's Anatomy would be the TV show. Or maybe Private Practice- Grey's did have 1 pretty terrible season (I'm looking at you Izzie and Ghost Denny!).

Fill in the Blank
1. My biggest accomplishment in life thus far is graduating college, getting a great job, getting married, and owning a house. That's more than one thing obviously, but I think they are kind of a package deal for my mid-twenties that I'm damn proud of. And there are 2 potted plants that are still alive in my kitchen after more than a year- this is a HUGE accomplishment!
2. My favorite place to sit in my house is the "coma chair". It's a large oversized chair with an ottoman by the window- next to the Christmas tree when it is up. It's highly comfortable, a great knitting spot, and usually ends up falling into a deep sleep. Thus, the coma chair.
3. My fashion philosophy is classic with a little bit of sass. I am not trendy by any means and feel silly in some of the crazy fashion trends. While I love looking at them in the magazines, they just look wrong on me. Give me nice trousers or great fitting jeans, simple but colorful tops and a fantastic hand-knit shawlette and I'm good to go!.
4. Something every girl should have is a sense of humor and a good attitude. They don't look bad on anyone and are necessary for getting through life!
5. If you looked in my purse right now you'd find.... my new camera, wallet, 2 cell phones (work and personal) a million gift cards, a BBW body perfume roller, chapstick, knitting, book.
6. My favorite music right now is Mumford and Sons. I just love them .
7. My favorite part of my body is my eyes. I am lucky to have nice, thick (but not too thick) dark eyelashes and I think the color of my eyes is a great shade of green with just a hint of gold that comes out with certain outfits. I used to wish I had brown eyes... why? I have no idea!

Fill in the Blank
1. I am currently obsessed with shawlettes. Lovely little accessories to wrap around my neck and add some sass to my outfits. Luckily I love making them and I have a designer friend Mindy who specializes in these :).
2. Today I am excited because, i finally get to go pick up my new glasses!
3. The age I am is 27 and the age I feel is 27. I'm right where I want to be. I love my life, the people in it, my house, everything.
4. My favorite place is probably my house. Or anywhere that I can be in the company of my favorite people .
5. Something I have been procrastinating is decorating. Seriously, there are rooms in this house that almost 5 years later are still barren on the walls and without decor.
6. The last thing I purchased was Homage tees during the BOGO sale! Softest t-shirts in the entire world but not very cheap so I couldn't pass up the deal .
7. The thing I love most about my home is the man and cat I share it with. A house wouldn't be a home without those 2 .

Fill in the Blank
1. I am a wife, daughter, sister, aunt. I am also dramatic, witty, and sarcastic. Or so I've been told
2. The bravest thing I've ever done was tackle an alligator in a swamp to save an infant child from being eaten... or not. Like I said, I'm dramatic. I did see an alligator in Tampa this week though.
6. The way to my heart is humor. Want to melt my heart? Make my laugh.

3. I feel prettiest when My hair curls just right and I wear red lipstick for no reason at all .
4. Something that keeps me awake at night is sounds. Creepy soft sounds- like the house settling.
5. My favorite meal in the entire world is Skyline Chili. It's a sickness. But I'm okay with it.
6. The way to my heart is humor. Want to melt my heart? Make my laugh.
7. I would like to learn how to take amazing photos with a DSLR camera, once I get one in a few years of course .

Fill in the Blank
I decided to link up over at The Little Things We Do for this week's Fill in the Blank Friday so if you are hopping over from there- Welcome!
1. The TV show/website that I watch/read that I would be embarrassed to tell anyone about is Considering I watch a whole bunch of TV and am pretty vocal about it, there isn't much I'm embarrassed to say I watch. Unless maybe I'd count Toddlers and Tiaras. I simply can't help myself. It's a trainwreck and I can't stop watching.

2. An item of clothing that is worn and torn but that I love far to much to throw away is the jeans I bought for my bachelorette party. I wore them so much that I snapped one of the belt loops on a fat day pulling them on but still wore them for a while. I haven't worn them in a few months since I found new jeans at NY&Co.
3. My grocery store impulse buy is vegetables. I have such high hopes when I buy that bag of carrots and lettuce yet I end up throwing them away when they go bad. I need to eat more veggies and I have good intentions but the bag of chips always wins out against the veggies.
4. Something I do at work to pass time that I wouldn't want my co-workers to know about is I don't do anything at the office that I wouldn't want people to know about.
5. One thing in my life that I could give up, but never will is I'll have to defer to the original post here on this one. It is possible, highly improbbable, but possible that I could give up social networking- blogs, twitter, facebook, etc. but never ever would.
6. A little indulgence that I have is sweets. Ice cream, chocolate, cake. Sometimes you just want a cupcake ya know? (see also, Twinkie reference from earlier this week) .
7. The junk drawer/area in my house is in the kitchen, and full. Full of random crap, coupons, keys, cards, tools, and who knows what else .

Fill in the Blank Friday!
1. If I could only read one magazine publication for the rest of eternity, I would choose Self. I don't know why I love that magazine but I do. A little bit of health, a little gossip, some fashion, some food. Enough said..
2. If I were to run my own magazine it would be about well, it would have to be something I know about and could talk and talk and talk about for hours... So probably crafting... or celebrity gossip.
3. I buy my magazines (at the grocery check stand or via subscription) at the grocery check stand. They are typically on impulse as I'm waiting in a loooong line. (Great job marketing and product placement!) I had a subscription to a couple magazines at one time but even still felt the impulse while stanging in line.
4. I prefer my magazines (in print or online) 100% in print. I am still struggling with owning my nookColor and reading books on it, I don't think I'll ever do magazines on it. The sheer convenience is so worth it but I love the feel of magazines in my hand- throwing them around at the pool, at the gym, etc. Plus, sharing it easier.
5. The number of magazines I buy each month is many one or 2? After hoarding magazines for a while and getting rid of them, I decided to try and limit myself and only buy if it's something I really want to read or if it applies to the above mentioned times. I still do buy Self a couple times a year but I can borrow magazines at the gym and I haven't been to the beach in a while so no need there...
6. My favorite magazine genre is (lifestyle, gossip, home, etc...) Probably celeb gossip because I could pour over the same issues of OK and Us Weekly finding new things I didn't see before. But I also like the lifestyle-health magazines because they motivate me to be healthy and I can find new products, recipes, etc. to help.
7. The magazines I read regularly are whatever is next to me in the supermarket or in a waiting room. Usually Us Weekly and OK or Self or Lucky. The subscriptions I've had previously were for Self and Cosmo.
What are your favorite magazines?
